Our mission at Sunrise Veterinary Clinic is to understand your pet needs and provide accurate guidance and advice. We can help you with numerous concerns, from puppy and kitten advice to behavioural and dietary consults to end of life discussions. We can also assist with determining the urgency of a situation and deciding whether your pet requires immediate care or whether you can wait to see your regular veterinarian or alternatively provide some management at home.

Dr. Alberto's passion and vocation are in working with horses and livestock. He became a veterinarian in Mexico and worked in an equine hospital and mobile practice in Mexico City. He advanced his education in Canada by completing a large animal internship at the Ontario Veterinary College in medicine and surgery and doing a Master of Science in health management. Dr. Alberto successfully completed a residency in large animal internal medicine at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan before deciding to start AgaveVet and start a family. He and his wife, Dr. Carly Ruiz and their children have a menagerie of animals, but his special companion is his faithful dog Astra, the German Shepherd.
